Children
of Abraham should worship the God of
Abraham. This fact is established in
the Old Testament and the Quran. Genesis
32:9 tells us that Jacob prayed, "O
God of my father Abraham, God of my
father Isaac."
The
Quran tells us "Or were you present
when death came upon Jacob, when he said
to his sons: What will you worship
after me? They said: We shall worship
your God and the God of your fathers
Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, one God and
unto Him we are submitters." Quran
2:133
So who is the God of Abraham?
The best way to
know Allah is to read what He said about
Himself.
1:1-3 “All praise is due to the Lord of
the worlds, the Merciful,
the Mercy-Giver, the Owner of the Day of
Recompense.”
2:21 “O mankind:
Worship your Lord, who has created you
and those before you, so that you may be
pious.”
2:29 “He it is who
created for you all that is in the
earth. Then He turned to the sky, and
fashioned it as seven skies. And He is
Knowing of all things.”
2:107 “Do you not
know that the ownership of the skies and
the earth belongs to Allah? And you
have not, beside Allah, any guardian or
helper?”
2:163 "And your God is one God.
There is no God except Him. The
Merciful, the Mercy-Giver."
2:186 “And when my
servants ask you about Me, then surely I
am very near; I answer the prayer of the
suppliant when he calls upon Me, so they
should answer my call and believe in Me
that they may walk in the right way.”
2:255 “He is
Allah. There is no real god but Him, the
Living, the Self-subsisting. Neither
slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His
are all things in the skies and on
earth. Who is he that intercedes with
Him except by His leave? He knows that
which is in front of them and that which
is behind them, while they encompass
nothing of His knowledge except what He
wills. His stool fits the skies and the
earth, and He is never weary of
preserving them. He is the Lofty, the
Great.”
3:5-6 “Nothing in
the earth or in the skies is hidden from
Allah. He it is who shapes you in the
wombs as He chooses; there is no real
god but Him, the Invincible, the Wise.”
3:26-27 “Say: O Allah, Owner of all
domains (one who has absolute ownership
of supreme authority). You give domains
to whom you choose, and you remove
domains from whom you choose. You give
honor to whom you choose, and you
humiliate whom you choose. All goods
are in your hand. Indeed, You are able
to do all things. You cause the night
to pass into the day, and you cause the
day to pass into the night. And you
bring forth the living from the dead,
and you bring forth the dead from the
living. And
you give provision to whom you choose
without reckoning.”
3:109 “And
whatever is in the skies and whatever is
in the earth is Allah's; and to Allah
all things return.”
3:189 “The dominion of the skies and the
earth belongs to Allah; and Allah is
able to do all things.”
4:26-28 “Allah
wants to explain to you and guide you to
the good practices of those before you
and lead you to repentance. Allah is
Omniscient and Wise. And Allah wants to
accept your repentance but those who
follow their whims want you to digress
into a great deviation. And Allah wants
to lighten your duties because man was
created weak.”
4:40 “ Indeed,
Allah oppresses not even of the weight
of an ant. And if it is a good deed, He
multiplies it and gives from Himself a
great reward.”
4:87 “He is
Allah. There
is no true god but Him. Certainly He
will assemble you for the Day of
Standing, about which there is no doubt.
Who is more truthful in his speech than
Allah?”
5:9 “Allah has
promised those who believe and do good
deeds that they will attain forgiveness
and immense reward.”
5:17 “They indeed
have blasphemed who said that Allah is
the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who
then has the least power against Allah,
had He willed to destroy the Messiah the
son of Mary, his mother, and all that is
on the earth? The dominion of the skies
and the earth, and all that is between
belongs to Allah. He creates what He
chooses. And Allah is Able to do all
things.”
5:73 “Certainly
those who say Allah is the third
(person) of three have blasphemed. The
reality is that there is only one (one
in person, one in number) true God, and
if they desist not from what they say, a
painful torment shall befall those among
them who blaspheme.”
6:1-3 “Praise be
to Allah, who has created the skies and
the earth, and has made darkness and
light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe
equals to their Lord. He it is who has
created you from clay, and has decreed a
term for you. A term is fixed with Him.
Yet still you doubt! He is Allah in
the skies and in the earth. He knows
both your secret and your utterance, and
He knows what you earn.”
6:13 “His is
whatsoever rests in the night and the
day. He is the Hearer, the All
Knowing.”
6:17-18 “If Allah
touches you with affliction, there is
none that can alleviate it except Him,
and if He touches you with good - then
He is Able to do all things. He is the
Vanquisher over His servants, and He is
the Wise, the Expert.”
6:95-103 “Indeed,
it is who splits the seed and the
date-stone, He brings the living out of
the dead and He brings the dead out of
the living; that is Allah! How are you
then turned away? He causes the dawn to
break; and He has made the night for
rest, and the sun and the moon for
calculation; this is an arrangement of
the Invincible, the Knowing. And He it
is who has set for you the stars that
you may be guided by them amid the
darkness of the land and the sea. We
detail Our signs for people who know.
And He it is who has produced you from
a single being, and (has given you) a
habitation and a repository. We detail
Our signs for people who understand.
And He it is who sends down water from
the sky, then We bring forth with it
buds of all (plants), then We bring
forth from it green (foliage) from which
We produce grain piled up (in the ear);
and of the palm-tree, of the sheaths of
it come forth clusters (of dates) within
reach, and gardens of grapes and olives
and pomegranates, alike and unlike.
Behold the fruits thereof, when they
bear fruits and ripen; most surely there
are signs in this for a people who
believe. Yet they ascribe the jinn as
partners unto Him, although He did
create them, and impute falsely, without
knowledge, sons and daughters unto Him.
Glorified and exalted be He above (all)
that they ascribe (unto Him). The
Originator of the skies and the earth.
It does befit Him to have a child. And
He never had a wife. He created all
things and is Knowing of all things?
That is Allah, your Lord, there is no
true god but Him; the Creator of all
things, therefore worship Him, and He is
the Trustee of all things. Vision
comprehends Him not, but He comprehends
(all) vision. He is the Amicable, the
Expert.”
6:141 “And He it
is who produces gardens (of vine),
trellised and un-trellised, and palms
and seed-produce of which the fruits are
of various sorts, and olives and
pomegranates, like and unlike; eat of
its fruit when it bears fruit, and pay
the due thereof upon the harvest day,
and be not prodigal. Indeed, Allah
loves not the prodigals.”
6:151-153 “Say:
Come, I will recite what your Lord has
forbidden, it is incumbent upon you that
you do not consider anything as equal to
Him. And show kindness to your parents,
and do not kill your children because of
penury --We provide for you and for
them-- and do not draw nigh to
indecencies, those of them which are
apparent and those which are concealed,
and do not kill the soul which Allah has
forbidden except for the requirements of
justice; this He has enjoined you with
that you may understand. And do not
approach the property of the orphan
except in the best manner until he
attains his maturity, and give full
measure and weight with justice-- We do
not impose on any soul a duty except to
the extent of its ability. And when you
speak, then be just though it be
(against) a relative, and fulfill
Allah's covenant; this He has enjoined
you with that you may be mindful.
Indeed, this is my straight path, so
follow it. Follow not other ways, lest
you be parted from His path. This has
He ordained for you, that you may be
pious.”
7:57 “And He it is
who sends the winds as tidings heralding
His mercy (i.e., rainfall), when they
(the winds) gathered heavy clouds (with
rain), We lead them to a dead land, and
then cause water to descend thereon and
thereby bring forth fruits of every
kind. Likewise, We bring forth the
dead, that you may remember.”
8:29 “O you who
believe, if you practice piety with
Allah, He will give the ability to
distinguish between right and wrong,
expiate your sins and forgive you.
Allah is of grand grace.”
9: 104 “Do they
not know that it is Allah who accepts
repentance from His servants and takes
the alms, and that Allah is the
Repentance-Giver, the Mercy-Giver?”
10:2-5 “Is it a
wonder for mankind that We have inspired
a man among them, saying: Warn mankind
and bring unto those who believe the
good tidings that they have before their
Lord high stature. (Yet), the heathens
say: Indeed he is a manifest magician.
Indeed, your Lord is Allah who created
the skies and the earth in six Days, and
then He rose over the Throne, regulating
and governing all things. There is no
intercessor (with Him) except after His
permission. That is Allah, your Lord,
so worship Him. Are you not able to
reflect? To Him is your return all
together. The promise of Allah is true.
It is He who begins the process of
creation, and then repeats it, that He
may reward those who believe and do good
works with equity; while, as for those
who disbelieve, theirs will be a boiling
drink and painful punishment because
they disbelieved. He it is who made the
sun shining brightness and the moon
light, and determined for it phases that
you might know the number of years and
the computation. Allah did not create
it but with the truth; He makes the
signs manifest for a people who have
knowledge. Indeed, in the difference of
day and night and all that Allah has
created in the skies and the earth are
signs for those who are pious.”
10:25 “Allah
invites to the Home of Peace and guides
whom He wills to a straight path.”
10:31-32 “Say:
Who gives you sustenance from the sky
and the earth? Or who owns hearing and
sight; and who brings forth the living
from the dead and brings forth the dead
from the living; and who manages and
regulates the affairs? They will say:
Allah. Then say: Will you not then be
pious? This is Allah, your true Lord.
What is there after the truth but
error? How then are you turned away?
This is how the word of your Lord was
justified against those who showed
obduracy that they will not believe.
Say: Is there of your false deities
which you consider as partners to Allah
anyone that begins the creation and then
repeats it? Say: Allah begins
creation, and then repeats it. How
could you then be deluded? Say: Is
there of your false deities which you
consider as partners to Allah anyone who
guides to the truth? Say: Allah guides
to the truth. Is He then who guides to
the truth more worthy to be followed, or
he who himself does not go aright unless
he is guided? What then is the matter
with you; how do you judge?”
10:55-56 “Verily
all that is in the skies and the earth
is Allah's. Verily Allah's promise is
true. But most of them know not. He
quickens and deadens, and unto Him you
will be returned.”
10:67-68 “He it is
who has made for you the night that you
may rest therein, and the day to make
things visible (to you). Indeed, in
this are signs for those who listen.
They say: Allah has taken (unto Him) a
son - Glorified be He. He is the Rich
(self sufficient). His is all that is
in the skies and all that is in the
earth. You have no evidence to support
this allegation. Do you say about Allah
what you do not know?”
11:7 “And He it is
who created the skies and the earth in
six Days while His Throne was upon the
water that He might try you, which of
you is best in deed. Yet if you (O
Muhammad) say: You will be raised again
after death, the heathens will surely
say: This is naught but mere magic.”
11:90 “Seek
forgiveness from your Lord and then
repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is
Merciful, Loving.”
13:2-3 “Allah
is He who raised the skies without any
pillars that you can see. Then He rose
over the Throne.
He has subjected the sun and the moon to
his Law. Each one runs its course for a
term appointed. He regulates all
affairs, explaining the signs in detail
that you may believe with certainty in
the meeting with your Lord. And He it
is who spread out the earth and placed
therein anchors and rivers, and of all
the fruits He placed therein two spouses
(male and female). He covers the night
with the day. Indeed, herein are
portents for people who reflect.”
13:8-9 “Allah
knows what every female bears, and that
of which the wombs fall short of
completion and that in which they
increase. And everything with Him is
measured. He is the Knower of the
invisible and the visible, the Great,
the Lofty.”
13:12-17 “He it is
who shows you the lightning for fear and
a hope, and generates the heavy clouds.
The thunder encomiums (Allah) with His
praiseworthiness and (so do) the angels
for awe of Him. He launches the
thunderbolts and smites with them whom
He chooses while they dispute (in doubt)
concerning Allah, and He is mighty in
punishment. The true prayers are the
ones directed to Him. And those who
pray to others receive no answer but
like one who stretches forth his two
hands towards water that it may reach
his mouth, but it will not reach it; and
the prayer of the heathen is only in
error. And unto Allah prostrate
whosoever is in the skies and the earth,
willingly or unwillingly, as do their
shadows in the morning and the evening
hours. Say: Who is the Lord of the
skies and the earth? Say: Allah. Say:
Do you take then besides Him protectors
who do not control any profit or harm
for themselves? Say: Are the blind and
the seeing alike? Or can the darkness
and the light be equal? Or have they
ascribed to Allah partners who have
created the like of His creation, so the
likeness of the creation confused them.
Say: Allah is the Creator of all
things, and He is the One, the
Vanquisher. He sends down water from
the sky, so that valleys fill up
according to their capacity and then
overflow. The overflow bears foam that
mounts up to the surface. There is a
scum likewise from that (ore) which they
heat in the fire to make ornaments or
utensils therewith. Thus Allah presents
an example of truth and vanity. The
scum disappears like forth cast out;
while that which is for the good of
mankind remains on the earth. Thus how
Allah set forth parables.”
13:26 “Allah
extends or restrict livelihood for whom
He chooses; and they rejoiced over the
life of the world, but the enjoyments of
the life of the world is short lived in
comparison to enjoyment of the life of
the hereafter.
14:32-34 “Allah is
He Who created the skies and the earth
and sent down water from the skies, then
brought forth with it fruits as a
sustenance for you, and He subjected to
you the ships, that they might run their
course in the sea by His command, and He
subjected to you the rivers. And He
subjected to you the sun and the moon
pursuing their courses, and He subjected
to you the night and the day. And He
gives you of all that you ask Him; and
if you count Allah's bounties, you will
not be able to number them; surely man
is very unjust, very ungrateful.”
15:9 “Indeed, We
sent down the Reminder, and indeed We
are its Guardian.”
15:49-50
“Announce, (O Muhammad) unto My servants
that verily I am the Forgiving, the
Merciful, and that My torment is the
painful torment.”
16:1-21 “The
decree of Allah will come to pass, so
seek not to hasten it. Glorified and
exalted be He above all that they
associate (with Him). He sends down the
angels with the spirit of His command
unto whom He chooses of His servants
telling them: Warn that there is no true
god except Me, so keep your duty unto
Me. He has created the skies and the
earth with truth. He is loftier than
all that they associate (with Him). He
has created man from a sperm-drop; and
behold this same (man) becomes an
obvious opponent. And He created the
cattle for you; in them there warmth for
you and benefits and whereof you eat.
And wherein is beauty for you, when you
bring them home, and when you take them
out to pasture. And they carry your
heavy loads to regions which you could
not reach but with greatly troubling
yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is
Clement, Mercy-Giver. And He has
created horses, mules, and donkeys, for
you to ride them and use them for show;
and He creates things of which you have
no knowledge. And upon Allah it rests
to show the right way, while there are
some deviating ones. If Allah had
chosen, He could have guided all of you.
It is He who sends down rain from the
sky. From it you drink, and because of
it trees grow, which your cattle
pasture. Therewith He causes crops to
grow for you, and the olive and the
date-palm and grapes and all kinds of
fruit. Indeed, herein is a portent for
people who reflect. And He has
subjected to you the night and the day
and the sun and the moon, and the stars
are made subservient by His commandment.
Indeed, herein are portents for people
who have sense. And He has subjected to
you whatever he multiplied in the earth
of varied hues. Indeed, herein is a
portent for people who take heed. And
He it is who subjected the sea that you
may eat fresh flesh from it and bring
forth from it ornaments which you wear,
and you see the ships plow it, and that
you might seek of His bounty and that
you may give thanks. And He put in the
earth anchors that it will not quake
with you, and streams and roads that you
may find a way. And landmarks too, and
by the star they find a way. Is He then
who creates like him who does not
create? Will not reflect? And if you
count Allah's bounties, you will not be
able to number them. Indeed, Allah is
Forgiving, Mercy- Giver. And Allah
knows what you conceal and what you
reveal. Those whom they invoke besides
Allah create nothing and are themselves
created. They are dead not alive, and
they know not when they shall be raised.
Your God is one God. But as for those
who believe not in the Hereafter their
hearts refuse to know, for they are
arrogant.”
16:40 “Our speech for the matter that We
want it is to say about it Be! Then it
is.”
16:65 “Allah sends
down water from the sky and therewith
revives the earth after its death.
Verily in this is a portent for those
who listen.”
16:70-74 “And
Allah created you, and then He will
retrieve you, and among you is he who is
allowed to live until he reaches the
most abject stage of life, so that he
knows nothing after (having had)
knowledge. Verily Allah is Omniscient,
Revered. And Allah has favored some of
you above others in provision. Those
who are more favored are not able to
channel their provision to those whom
their right hands possess (servants), so
that they may be equal with them in
respect thereof. Is it then the grace
of Allah that they deny? And Allah has
given you wives of your own kind, and
has given you, from your wives, sons and
grandsons, and has made provision of
good things for you. Is it then in
vanity that they believe and in the
grace of Allah that they disbelieve?
While they worship beside Allah that
which owns for them no provision at all
from the skies, nor they are able to,
therefore invent not similitude for
Allah, for Allah knows, and you know
not.”
16: 77-81 “To
Allah belongs the unseen of the skies
and the earth, and the matter of the
Hour is as close as a twinkling of the
eye, or it is nearer. Indeed, Allah is
Able to do all things. And Allah
brought you forth from the wombs of your
mothers knowing nothing, and gave you
hearing, sight and hearts that you may
give thanks. Do they not see the birds,
constrained in the space of the sky?
None withholds them but Allah; most
surely there are signs in this for a
people who believe. It is Allah who
made your homes comfort zone for you.
And made for you from the cattle’s hides
houses, which you find light on the day
of travel and on the day of encampment;
and of their wool and their fur and
their hair, caparison and comfort for a
while. And Allah has made for you of
what He has created shelters, and He has
given you in the mountains places of
retreat, and He has given you garments
to preserve you from the heat and coats
of mail to preserve you in your
fighting. Thus He completes His bounty
upon you that you may submit.”
16:90 “Indeed,
Allah enjoins justice and kindness, and
giving to the kindred, and forbids
debauchery and evil and oppression. He
exhorts you in order that you may take
heed.”
17:110-111 “Say:
Call upon Allah, or call upon the
Mercy-Giver. By whatever name you call
upon Him, to Him belong the Most
Beautiful Names. Recite your prayer
neither aloud nor in a low tone, but
seek a middle course in between. And
say: All praise is due to Allah, who
has not taken unto Himself a son, and
who has no partner in the dominion, nor
He has any ally due to weakness. And
aggrandize Him with all magnificence.”
18:58 “Your Lord is the Forgiver, owner
of Mercy. If He were to hold them
responsible for what they have done, He
would hasten for them the punishment.
but they have their appointed time,
beyond which they will find no escape.”
19:35 ”It is not appropriate that Allah
should take unto Himself a son. Glory
be to Him. When He decrees a thing, He
only says about it: Be! And it is.”
19:64-65 “…And
your Lord was never forgetful, the Lord
of the skies and the earth and whatever
is between them, so worship Him and have
patience for His worship. Do you know a
match to Him?”
19:96 “Indeed,
those who believe and do good deeds, the
Merciful will grant them love.”
20:5-8 “The
Merciful rose over the Throne. His is
what is in the skies and what is in the
earth and what is between them and what
is beneath the ground. If you speak
aloud (it does not matter) for He knows
the secretive speech and that which is
more than secretive. He is Allah. There
is no true God except Him. His are the
most Beautiful Names.”
20:14 “Surely I am Allah, there is no
true God but I, therefore worship Me and
keep up prayer for My remembrance.”
20:114 “High above
all is Allah, the King, the Truth. Be
not in haste with the Quran before its
revelation to you is complete, but say:
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”
21:16-23 “We did
not create the skies and the earth and
all that is between them in play. If We
had wished to play, We would have done
so without involving you. Nay, We hurl
the true against the false, so it
destroys it and then it vanishes. And
yours will be woe for that which you
describe. And whoever is in the skies
and the earth is His; and those who are
with Him are not arrogant to worship
Him, nor do they grow weary. They
glorify (Him) night and day without
slacking. Or have they chosen gods from
the earth who raise the dead? If there
were, in the skies and the earth, other
gods besides Allah, they both would have
been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord
of the Throne, above what they
describe. He is questionable not
regarding what He does, but they will be
questioned.”
21:30-33 “Have not
those who disbelieve known that the
skies and the earth were of one piece,
then We parted them, and we made every
living thing of water? Will they not
then believe? And We have placed in the
earth anchors (mountains) lest it quake
with them, and We have placed therein
ravines as roads that they may find
their way. And we have made the sky to
be a preserved ceiling. Yet, they turn
away from its portents.”
22:5-7 “O
mankind! If you are in doubt concerning
the Resurrection, verily We have created
you from dust, then from sperm drop,
then from a clinging matter and then
from a little lump of flesh formed and
unformed, that We may make (it) clear
for you. And We settle in the wombs
what We choose for a specific term and
afterward We bring you forth as infants,
then we develop you until you attain
your full strength. And among you there
is he who dies (young), and among you
there is he who lives to the most abject
time of life, so that, after knowledge,
he knows naught. And you see the earth
barren, but when We send down water
thereon, it quivers and swell and
produces of every lovely kind (of
growth). That is because Allah is the
Truth and He quickens the dead; and
because He is Able to do all things; and
because the Hour will come, there is no
doubt thereof; and because Allah will
raise those who are in the graves.”
22:14 “Verily, Allah will admit those
who believe and work righteous deeds to
Gardens, beneath which rivers flow.
Indeed, whatever Allah wants, He does
it.”
22:18 “Do you not
know that to Allah prostrate all things
that are in the skies and on earth, the
sun, the moon, the stars, the hills, the
trees, the animals and a great number
among mankind? But a great number are
(also) such as are fit for punishment.
And whomever Allah shall disgrace, none
can raise to honor, for Allah does what
He chooses.”
22:23 “Allah will admit those who
believe and work righteous deeds, to
Gardens beneath which rivers flow. They
shall be adorned therein with bracelets
of gold and pearls; and their garments
therein will be silk.”
22:39 “Indeed, Allah defends the
believers. Indeed, Allah loves not each
treacherous ingrate.”
22:60-66 “And
whoever has retaliated in the same
fashion which he was made to suffer and
then has (again) been wronged, Allah
will for sure aid him. Indeed, Allah is
Pardoning, and Forgiving. That is
because Allah makes the night to pass
into the day and makes the day to pass
into the night, and because Allah is
Hearer, Seer. And that is because Allah
is the Truth, and that whereon they call
instead of Him, it is the false, and
because Allah, He is the High, the
Great. Do you not see that Allah sends
down water from the sky so the earth
becomes green? Surely Allah is
Amicable, Expert. His is whatsoever is
in the skies and whatsoever is in the
earth; and most surely Allah is the
Plentiful, the Praiseworthy. Do you not
see that Allah has made subservient to
you whatsoever is in the earth and the
ships running in the sea by His command?
And He withholds the sky from falling
on the earth except with His leave.
Indeed, Allah to the people is Clement,
Mercy- Giver. It is He who quickened
you and then will deaden you and then
quicken you. Verily man is ingrate”
23:12-22 “And certainly We created the
first man (Adam) of an extract of clay.
Then created his offspring as a sperm
drop in a safe lodging; then We made the
sperm drop into a clinging clot of
congealed blood; then of that clot We
made a lump; then we made out of that
lump bones and clothed the bones with
flesh; then we developed out of it
another creature. So blessed be Allah,
the best to creators. Then, indeed,
after that you are to die. Then on the
Day of Standing you will be resurrected.
And We have created above you seven
skies, and We are never unmindful of
creation. And We send down water from
the sky according to a measure, then We
cause it to settle in the earth, and
most surely We are able to remove it.
Then We cause to grow thereby gardens
of palm trees and grapes for you; you
have in them many fruits and from them
you eat. And a tree that grows out of
Mount Sinai which produces oil and a
condiment for those who eat. Indeed, in
the cattle there something to reflect
upon. We make you to drink of what is
in their bellies, and you have in them
many advantages and of them you eat, and
on them and on the ships you are
carried.”
23:78-80 “He it is who has created for
you ears and eyes and hearts. Rarely do
you give thanks. And He it is who has
scattered you in the earth, and unto Him
you will be gathered. It is He who
quickens and deadens, and His is the
alternation of night and day. Will you
not then understand?”
23:84-92 “Say: Whose is the earth, and
whoever is therein, if you have
knowledge? They will say: Allah's.
Say: Will you not then mind? Say:
Who is the Lord of the seven skies, and
the Lord of the Great Throne. They will
say: (This is) Allah's. Say: Will you
not then be pious? Say: In whose hand
is the dominion over all things and He
protects, but no one can protect from
Him, if you have knowledge? They will
say: (This is) Allah's. Say: From
whence are you then deceived? Nay. We
have brought to them the truth, and most
surely they are dishonest. No son did
Allah beget, nor is there any god along
with Him, else would each god have
assuredly championed that which he
created, and some of them would
assuredly have overcome others.
Glorified be Allah above all that they
allege. Knower of the unseen and the
seen. And exalted be He over the
partnership they ascribe to Him.”
23:116-118
“Exalted is Allah, the True King. There
is no true god except Him the Lord of
the honorable Throne. Whoever prays to
another god for which he has no proof
his reckoning is only with his Lord.
Indeed, the heathens will not be
successful. And say: O my Lord!
Forgive and have mercy, for you are the
best of those who show mercy. ”
24:21 “O you who believe: Do not follow
the footsteps of Satan, and whoever
follows the footsteps of Satan, then
surely he bids the doing of debauchery
and evil; and were it not for Allah's
grace upon you and His mercy, none of
you would have ever been sanctified, but
Allah sanctifies whom He chooses; and
Allah is the Hearer, the Omniscient.”
24:35 “Allah is
the Light of the skies and the earth.
The similitude of His light is as a
niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in
a glass. The glass is as it were a
shining star. This lamp is kindled from
a blessed tree, an olive tree neither of
the east nor of the west, whose oil
would almost glow forth of itself though
no fire touched it. Light upon light.
Allah guides to His light whom He
chooses. And Allah presents examples to
mankind, for Allah is Knower of all
things.”
24:41-46 “Do you not see that all who
are in the skies and the earth and the
birds in their flight glorify Allah?
Each one of them knows his own prayer
and glorification while Allah knows what
they do. And unto Allah belongs the
domain of the skies and the earth, to
Allah is the destination. Do you not
see that Allah drives along the clouds,
then gathers them together, then piles
them up, and then you see the rain
emerge from within it? And He sends
down from the sky from mountains therein
hail so He strikes with it whom He
chooses and averts it from whom He
chooses. The flash of its lightning
almost takes away the eyesight. Allah
alternates the night and the day; most
surely there is a lesson in this for
those who have sight. And Allah has
created every animal from water: of
them there are some that creep on their
bellies; some that walk on two legs; and
some that walk on four. Allah creates
what He chooses. Allah is Able to do
all things. We have indeed sent down
verses that make things manifest. And
Allah guides whom He wills to the
straight path.”
25:1-2 “Blessed is
He who has revealed unto His servant the
Criterion (of right and wrong), that he
may be a warner to the peoples. To Him
belongs the dominion of the skies and
the earth. No son has He begotten, nor
has He a partner in His dominion. It is
He who created all things, and ordered
them in due proportions.”
25:45-49 “Have you
not considered (the work of) your Lord,
how He prolongs the shadow! If He
chose, He could have made it still.
Then We have made the sun its guide.
Then We drew it unto Us a little. And
He it is who made the night a covering
for you, and the sleep repose, and He
made the day to rise up again. And He
it is who sends the winds as heralds of
glad tidings, going before His mercy,
and We send down pure water from the
sky, that We may quicken thereby a dead
city, and make it drinking water for
numerous cattle and people that we
created.”
25:53-55 “And it is He who allowed the
two bodies of water to touch, one
palatable and sweet, and the other salty
and bitter; and has placed between them
a barrier and a prohibiting partition.
And He it is who has created man from
water, and has appointed for him kindred
by blood and kindred by marriage; for
your Lord is ever Revered. And they
worship besides Allah that which neither
profits them nor causes them harm; and
the unbeliever is a partisan against his
Lord.”
25:58-62”And depend on the Living God
who dies not, and glorify Him due to His
praiseworthiness. It suffices it that
He is an expert in the sins of His
servants. The one who created the skies
and the earth and all that is between
them in six days, and then rose over the
Throne is the Merciful. Ask about Him
an expert. But, when it was said to
them prostrate to the Merciful. They
said: What is the Merciful? Do you
expect us to prostrate to whatever you
(Muhammad) command us? And it increased
them in aversion. Blessed is He Who
made the constellations in the skies and
made therein a lamp and a shining moon.
And He it is who made the night and the
day in succession for whoever desires to
remember or desires to be thankful.”
26:104 “Your Lord
is indeed the Invincible, the
Mercy-Giver.”
27:59-65 “Say: Allah is worthy of all
praise, and peace on His servants whom
He has chosen. Who is better Allah or
the partners that they ascribe to Him?
Is He not the one who created the skies
and the earth, and sent down for you
water from the sky wherewith We cause to
spring forth joyous gardens, it is not
in your power to cause its trees to
grow. Is there any god beside Allah?
Nay, but they are a people who deviate.
Is He not the one who has made the
earth firm to live on; made rivers in
its midst; and put in it anchors; and
made a separating bar between the two
bodies of flowing water? Is there any
god beside Allah? Nay, most of them
know not. Is He not the one who answers
the call of the distressed and
alleviates the suffering and has made
you viceroys of the earth? Is there any
god beside Allah? Little they do
reflect. Is He not the one who guides
you through the depths of darkness on
land and sea, and who sends the winds as
heralds of glad tidings, going before
His mercy? Is there any god beside
Allah? Allah is loftier than whatever
they ascribe as partners unto Him. Is
He not the one who initiates creation,
and then repeats it, and who gives you
sustenance from sky and earth? Is there
any god beside Allah? If there is, then
produce your proof if you are truthful.
Say: No one in the skies and the earth
knows the unseen but Allah; and they do
not know when they shall be
resurrected.”
27:73-74 “And
indeed your Lord is bountiful to the
people, but most of them are not
grateful. And verily your Lord knows
what their hearts hide as well as what
they reveal.”
28:59 “And how many wanton communities
We have destroyed. These are their
abodes, they have not been dwelt in
after them except a little, and We are
the inheritors.”
28:68-75 “Your
Lord brings to pass what He chooses and
selects. The selection was not for
them. Glorified be Allah and exalted
above all that they ascribe as partners
to Him. And your Lord knows all that
their hearts conceal and all that they
reveal. And He is Allah; there is no
true god except Him. He is worthy of
all praise in this world and in the
later one. And His is the judgment.
And to Him you shall return.”
28:88 “And do not
pray to other gods along with praying to
Allah because there is no true god
except Him. Everything is vain except
deeds done for His Face. His is the
judgment. And to Him you shall return.”
29:5 “Let the one who hopes to meet
Allah know that the scheduled meeting
will come to pass and He is the Hearer
the All-Knowing.”
29:19-20 “Have they not realized how
Allah initiates creation, and then
repeats it. Indeed that is easy for
Allah. Say (O Muhammad): Travel in the
land and observe (study) how He
initiated creation. And then He will
generate the final phase. Indeed, Allah
is Able to do all things.”
29:44 “Allah
created the skies and the earth for the
truth. Indeed, therein is a portent for
believers.”
30:11 “Allah initiates the creation, and
then He repeats it, and then to Him you
shall return.”
30:19-27 “It is He who brings out the
living from the dead, and brings out the
dead from the living, and who quickens
the land after its death, and thus shall
you be brought out (resurrected). And
of His signs is that He created you of
dust, and behold you are human beings
covering the earth. And of His signs is
that He created for you a mate from
yourselves that you might find rest in
them, and He instilled between you love
and mercy. Indeed herein are portents
for people who reflect. And of His
signs are the creation of the skies and
the earth, and the difference of your
languages and colors. Indeed herein are
portents for men of knowledge. And of
His signs are your slumber by night and
by day, and your seeking of His bounty.
Indeed herein are portents for people
who listen. And of His signs is that He
shows you the lightning to put in you
fear and hope, and sends down water from
the sky, and thereby quickens the earth
after its death. Indeed herein are
portents for people who understand. And
of His signs is that the skies and the
earth subsist by His command, and
afterward, when He calls you, you
suddenly emerge from the ground. And
His is whosoever is in the skies and the
earth; all are obedient to Him. And He
it is who initiated the creation and
then repeats it. It is ease for Him.
Only the sublime parables whether they
are earthly or heavenly are appropriate
for Allah, and He is the Invincible, the
Wise.”
30: 40 “It is Allah who has created you,
and then provided for your sustenance.
Then He will deaden you and then will
quicken you. Are there any of the
partners which you ascribe to Allah who
can do any single one of these things?
Glorified and exalted He is above the
partners they attribute to Him.”
30: 48-50 “It is
Allah who sends the winds, and they
raise the clouds. Then He spread them
in the sky as He chooses, and break them
into fragments, until you see rain-drops
emerge from the midst thereof. And when
He makes it rain on whom He will of His
servants immediately they rejoice.
Though before that, just before it was
sent down upon them, they were in
despair. Thus, observe the imprints of
Allah's mercy how He quickens the earth
after its death. Indeed, He the
Quickener of the dead, and He is Able to
do all things.”
30: 54 “Allah is
He who created you from a state of
weakness then He gave strength after
weakness, then ordained weakness and
hoary hair after strength; He creates
what He chooses, and He is the
Omniscient, the Revered.”
31: 34 “Indeed,
Allah alone has the knowledge of the
Hour. It is He who sends down rain, and
He who knows what is in the wombs. No
one knows what he will earn tomorrow and
no one knows in what land he will die.
Indeed, Allah is All-knowing and
Expert.”
32: 4-9 “Allah it
is who created the skies and the earth,
and that which is between them, in six
Days. Then He rose over the Throne.
You have not, beside Him, a protecting
friend or mediator. Will you not then
remember? He regulates and manages the
affairs from the skies to the earth;
then shall it ascend to Him in a day the
measure of which is a thousand years of
what you count. This is the Knower of
the unseen and the seen, the Invincible,
the Merciful. The one who perfected
everything He created and He initiated
the creation of man from clay. Then He
created his progeny through a chain
starting with disdained liquid (semen).
Then He made him complete and breathed
into him of His spirit, and made for you
the ears and the eyes and the hearts;
little is it that you give thanks.”
33: 43 “He it is who blesses you, and
His angels (bless you), that He may
bring you out of the darkness into the
light; and He is ever Mercy-Giver with
the believers.”
34: 1-2”Allah is
worthy of all praise. His is all what
the skies contain and all what the earth
contains. Also, His is the praise in
the Hereafter, and He is the Wise, the
Expert. He knows that which goes down
into the earth and that which comes out
of it, and that which comes down from
the skies and that which goes up to it;
and He is the Mercy- Giver, the
Forgiving.”
34:39 “Say:
Indeed, my Lord expands the provision
for whom He chooses of His servants, and
restricts it for him. And whatsoever
you spend (for good) He replaces it.
And He is the Best of Providers.”
35:1-6 “Allah is
worthy of all praise, who created by
fiat the skies and the earth, Who made
the angels as messengers with wings,-
two, or three, or four (pairs). He adds
to creation as He wills. Indeed Allah
is Able to do all things. That which
Allah opens unto mankind of mercy none
can withhold it; and that which He
withholds none can release thereafter.
He is the Invincible, the Wise. O
mankind: Remember Allah's bounties upon
you. Is there any creator other than
Allah who provides for you from the sky
and the earth? There is no real god
except Him. How are you then deluded?
And if they deny you, (O Muhammad),
messengers (of Allah) were denied before
you. Verily all matters are returned to
Allah. O mankind: Verily the promise
of Allah is true. Therefore, let not
the life of this world deceive you, and
let not the arch deceiver deceive you
about Allah. Indeed, the devil is an
enemy to you, so treat him as an enemy.
He only invites his faction to be
owners of the flaming Fire.”
35:9-17 “It is Allah who sends forth the
winds, so that they raise up the clouds,
and We drive them to a dead city, and
revive the earth therewith after its
death. Thus is the Resurrection.
Whoever desires honor (should know
that) all honor is Allah's. Unto Him
good words ascend, and He raises the
good deeds; but those who plot
iniquities, theirs will be an awful
punishment; and their plotting will
perish. And Allah created you of dust,
then from sperm drop, and then He made
you pairs. Neither any female that
conceives nor delivers, except with His
knowledge; and anyone who ages and
anyone who is short-lived but it all has
been documented; surely this is easy to
Allah. The two seas are not alike:
One is fresh, sweet, good to drink, and
the other is bitter, salty. But, from
both you eat fresh meat and derive the
ornaments that you wear. And you see the
ship plowing through the water that you
may seek of His bounty, and that you may
give thanks. He merges night into day,
and He merges day into night, and He has
subjected the sun and the moon (to his
Law). Each one runs its course for an
appointed term. Such is Allah, your
Lord. His is the dominion. Those unto
whom you pray instead of Him do not even
own the membrane of a date seed. If you
call on them they shall not hear your
call, and even if they could hear they
shall not answer you; and on the Day of
Standing they will deny your associating
them (with Allah); and none can inform
you like the Expert. O mankind: You
are the poor who need Allah, and Allah
is the Rich the Praiseworthy. If He
chooses, He can remove you and bring
(instead of you) some new creatures.
That is not a hard thing for Allah.”
35: 27-28 “Do you
not see that Allah sends down water from
the sky, then We bring forth therewith
fruits of various colors; and in the
mountains are streaks, white and red, of
various hues and others intensely black?
Likewise there are various hues of men
and beasts and cattle. Those who fear
Allah are the knowledgeable. Indeed,
Allah is Invincible, and Forgiver.”
35:38 “Indeed, Allah is the Knower of
the unseen of the skies and the earth.
Indeed, He is All-Knowing of what is
inside the chests (hearts)”
35:41 “Surely
Allah upholds the skies and the earth
lest they come to naught; and if they
should come to naught, there is none who
can uphold them after Him; surely He is
the Imperturbable, the Forgiver.”
36:12 “Indeed, We
it is who quicken the dead. We record
what they have put forth and what they
left behind. We have enumerated all
things in a clear Register.”
36:33-40 “A sign
for them is that we quickened the dead
land and produced grain of which they do
eat. And We have placed therein gardens
of the date-palm and grapes, and We have
caused springs of water to gush forth
therein, that they may eat of the fruit
thereof, while their hands made it not.
Will they not, then, give thanks?
Glory be to Him Who created all pairs,
of that which the earth grows, and of
themselves, and of that which they know
not! And a sign for them is the night.
We cut therefrom the day, and behold
they are plunged in darkness. And the
sun runs toward its stopping point.
That is the ordinance of the
Invincible, the Omniscient. And for the
moon, We have determined for it phases
until it returns (appearing) like an old
shriveled palm-leaf. Neither is it
allowable to the sun that it should
overtake the moon, nor can the night
outstrip the day; and all float on a
designated orbit.”
36:71-73 “Do they
not see that We have created, out of
what we made with our might, cattle for
them, so they are their owners? And We
have tamed them for them. Some of them
they ride and some they eat. And for
them therein are other benefits and
drinks, will they not then give thanks?”
36:81-83 “Is not He who created the
skies and the earth able to create the
like of them? Yes. And He is the
All-Knowing Creator. When He wants
anything, His command is to say about it
Be. Then it is. Glory to Him in whose
hands is the dominion of all things:
and to Him will you be returned.”
38:27 “And We created not the skies and
the earth and all that is between them
in vain. That is the opinion of those
who disbelieve. And woe unto those who
disbelieve, from the Fire.”
39:5-6 “He has
created the skies and the earth for the
truth, He warps the night over the day
and wraps the day over the night and has
subjected the sun and the moon, each
running its course for a specified term.
Surely, He is the Invincible, the
Perpetual Forgiver. He created you from
one being, then from that (being) He
made its mate. And He has provided for
you of cattle eight kinds. He makes you
in the wombs of your mothers in stages,
one after another in three veils of
darkness. Such is Allah, your Lord.
His is the dominion. There is no real
god but Him, so how can you be turned
away?”
39:21-23” Do you not see that Allah
sends down water from the sky, then
makes it go along in the earth in
springs, then brings forth therewith
herbage of various colors, then it
withers so that you see it becoming
yellow, then He makes it a thing crushed
and broken into pieces? Indeed, in that
there is a reminder for those of
understanding. Is not the one whose
heart Allah has opened to receive
submission, so that he becomes upon
enlightenment from Allah better (than
the one whose heart is callused)? Woe
to those whose hearts are callused
against celebrating the praises of
Allah. They are in clear error. Allah
has revealed the best of speech, a
consistent book wherein is reiteration
whereat do shudder the skins of those
who fear their Lord, then their skins
and their hearts become pliant to the
remembrance of Allah; this is Allah's
guidance, He guides with it whom He
chooses; and (as for) him whom Allah
makes err, there is no guide for him.”
39:46 “Say: O
Allah, Creator by fiat of the skies and
the earth, Knower of the unseen and the
seen, You will judge between your
servants concerning that over which they
used to differ.”
39:62-63 “Allah is
Creator of all things, and He is the
Trustee over all things. His are the
keys of the skies and the earth, and
those who disbelieve in the verses of
Allah- it is those who are the losers.”
39:67 “And they
have not appreciated Allah the way He
should be appreciated; and the whole
earth shall be in His grip on the Day of
Standing and the skies rolled up in His
right hand; glory be to Him, and He is
above what they associate (with Him).”
40:3 “The Forgiver
of sins, the Acceptor of repentance,
severe in punishment, Lord of bounty;
there is no true god except Him; to Him
is the final destination.”
40:13-15 “He it is
who shows you His portents, and sends
down for you provision from the sky.
None pays heed save him who is
penitent. Therefore call upon Allah,
being sincere to Him in obedience,
although the heathens may detest it.”
40:60-65 “And your Lord says: Call on
Me; I will answer you. But those who
are too arrogant to worship Me will
ignominiously enter hell. Allah is He
who made for you the night that you may
rest therein and the day to see. Indeed
Allah is gracious to men, but most men
do not give thanks. That is Allah, your
Lord, the Creator of everything; how can
you be deluded? In like manner, those
who rejected Our signs were deluded.
Allah is He who made the earth a
resting place for you and the sky a
canopy, and fashioned you and perfected
your shapes, and has provided you with
good things. Such is Allah, your Lord.
Then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the
worlds. He is the Living God, there is
no true god except Him, therefore call
upon Him, being sincere to Him in
obedience; He is worthy of all praise,
the Lord of the worlds. Say: I have
been forbidden to worship those whom you
pray to beside Allah once the clear
proofs have come to me from my Lord, and
I am commanded to surrender to the Lord
of the worlds. It is He who has created
you from dust then from a sperm-drop,
then from a leech-like clot; then he
brings out as a child, then lets you
(grow and) reach your age of full
strength; then lets you become old -
though of you there are some who die
before - and lets you reach a term
appointed; in order that you may
understand. He it is who quickens and
deadens. When He ordains a matter, He
says about it Be. Then, it is.”
40:79-80 “It is
Allah who made the cattle for you that
you may ride on some of them, and some
of them you eat. And for you therein
are other benefits, and on them you can
reach where your heart desires and upon
them and upon the ships you are
carried.”
41:9-12 “Say: Do you disbelieve in Him
and ascribe to Him equals and He is the
one who created the earth in two days?
He is the Lord of the worlds. And He
placed in it anchors (mountains) rising
above it, and blessed it and determined
in it its sustenance in four Days,
alike for (all) who ask. Then He turned
to the sky when it was smoke, and said
unto it and unto the earth: Come both
of you, willingly or by compulsion.
They said: We come obediently. So He
completed them as seven firmaments in
two days, and He assigned to each sky
its duty. And We adorned the lowest sky
with lanterns (stars), and (provided it)
with guard. Such is the decree of the
Invincible the Omniscient.”
41:37-39 “And of His portents are the
night and the day and the sun and the
moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or
the moon; but prostrate to Allah who
created them, if it is Him whom you
worship. But if they show arrogance -
still those who are with your Lord
glorify Him night and day without
boredom. And of His portents is that
you see the earth lowly, but when We
send down water thereon it thrills and
grows. Indeed, He who quickens it is
verily the Quickener of the dead.
Indeed, He is Able to do all things.”
42:10-12 “The
judgment over whatever you disagree
about rests with Allah. Such is my
Lord, in whom I put my trust, and unto
whom I penitently return. He is the
Originator of the skies and the earth.
He has made for you pairs of
yourselves, and of the cattle also
pairs, whereby He multiplies you.
Nothing resembles Him and He is the
Hearer, the Seer. His are the keys of
the skies and the earth. He extends and
restricts the provision for whom He
chooses. Indeed, He is Knower of all
things.”
42:17 “It is Allah who has sent down the
Book in truth, and the scale. What do
you know? Perhaps the Hour is near.”
42:24-30 “…And
Allah eliminates falsehood and
vindicates the truth by His words.
Indeed, He is All-Knowing of what is
inside your chests (hearts). And He it
is who accepts the repentance from His
servants, and pardons the evil deeds,
and knows what you do. Those who
believe and do righteous deeds respond,
while He increases His grace upon them.
And as for disbelievers, theirs will be
a severe punishment. Had Allah expanded
provision to all of His servants, they
would indeed transgress beyond all
bounds through the earth; but He sends
it down in due measure what He chooses,
for He knows his servants very well.
And He it is who sends down the rain
after they have despaired, and He
unfolds His mercy; and He is the
protecting friend, the Praiseworthy.
And of His portents is the creation of
the skies and the earth, and of whatever
beasts He has dispersed therein. And He
is Able to gather them when He chooses.
And whatever affliction befalls you, it
is on account of what your hands have
wrought, and yet He pardons much of your
faults.”
42:49-53 “To Allah belongs the dominion
of the skies and the earth. He creates
what He chooses. He grants to whom He
chooses daughters and grants to whom He
chooses sons. Or He makes them of both
sorts, male and female; and He makes
whom He chooses barren; surely He is the
All-Knowing, the Revered. It is not
fitting for a man that Allah should
speak to him except by inspiration, or
from behind a partition, or that He
sends an angelic messenger who, by
Allah's leave, conveys what He chooses.
Indeed, He is the High and the Wise.
And thus We have revealed to you
(Muhammad) a Spirit of Our command. You
neither knew about the Scripture nor
about the Faith. But we have made it a
light whereby We guide whom We choose of
Our servants. And indeed, you do guide
to the straight path, the path of Allah,
to whom belongs whatever is in the skies
and whatever is on earth. Surely, all
matters return to Allah.”
43:9-14 “And if
you (Muhammad) ask them, who created the
skies and the earth, they will surely
answer: The Invincible, the Omniscient
created them. He is also who made the
earth a resting-place for you, and
placed roads for you therein, that you
may find your way; and who sends down
water from the sky in (due) measure,
then We raise to life thereby a dead
city, in like fashion you will be made
to emerge; and who created all species,
and made for you of the ships and the
cattle what you ride on, that you may
mount upon their backs, and may remember
your Lord's favor when you mount
thereon, and may say: Glorified be He
who has subjected these unto us, and we
were not capable (of subjecting them);
and surely to our Lord we must return.”
43:81-85 “Say (O Muhammad): If the
Merciful had a son, then, I would be
first among the worshippers. The Lord
of the skies and the earth, the Lord of
the Throne, is far above that which they
ascribe (unto Him). So let them
flounder (in their talk) and play until
they meet the Day which they are
promised. And He is the deity in the
skies and the deity in the earth. He is
the Wise, the All-Knowing. And blessed
is He to whom belongs the dominion of
the skies and the earth, and all between
them. With Him is the Knowledge of the
Hour (of Judgment). And to Him you
shall return.”
44:5-8 “A command
from Us; surely We are sending a mercy
from your Lord. Indeed, He is the All
Hearer the Knowing. The Lord of the
skies and the earth and what is between
them, if you would be sure. There is no
real god except Allah He quickens and
deadens; your Lord and Lord of your
forefathers.”
44:38-39 “And We created not the skies
and the earth, and all that is between
them, in play. We did not create them
both except in the truth, but most of
them do not know.”
45:12-13 “It is Allah who has subjected
the sea to you, in order for the ships
to sail through it by His command, and
in order for you to seek of His bounty,
and in order for you to be grateful.
And He has subjected to you whatsoever
is in the skies and the earth, all from
Him. Indeed, herein are portents for a
people who reflect.”
45:22 “Allah
created the skies and the earth for the
truth. Verily every person will be
recompensed according to what he has
earned, and none of them will be
oppressed.”
45:26-27 “Say:
Allah quickens you, then deadens you,
then assembles you for the Day of
Standing about which there is no doubt.
But most of mankind know not. To Allah
belongs the dominion of the skies and
the earth. And on the day when the Hour
shall come to pass, on that day shall
those who say false things perish.”
46:3 “We created
not the skies and the earth and all that
is between them except in the truth and
for a specified term. But the heathens
disregard what they have been warned
about.”
46:33 “Have they
not seen that Allah, who created the
skies and the earth and was not wearied
by their creation, is Able to quicken
the dead? Yes, indeed He is Able to do
all things.”
47:12 “Indeed, Allah shall admit those
who believe and do good deeds to Gardens
underneath which rivers flow; while
those who disbelieve enjoy and eat like
cattle eat, and the Fire is their
habitation.”
47:19 “Know,
therefore, that there is no real god but
Allah, and ask forgiveness for your
sins, and for the sins of the believing
men and women. Allah knows of your
movement and your resting place.”
48:28 “He it is
who has sent His messenger with the
guidance and the religion of truth to
prevail it over all religions. Allah
suffices as Witness.”
49:18 “Indeed,
Allah knows the unseen things of the
skies and the earth; and Allah sees what
you do.”
50:6-11 “Have they
not then observed the sky above them,
how We have constructed it and
beautified it, and how there are no
rifts therein? And We spread out the
earth, and have put anchors therein, and
have caused of every lovely kind to grow
thereon, to give insight and a reminder
for every penitent servant. And We send
down from the sky blessed water whereby
We give growth unto gardens and the
grain of crops, And lofty date-palms
with ranged clusters, as provision for
men; and therewith We quicken a dead
land. Thus will be the resurrection of
the dead.”
50:38 “And indeed
We created the heavens and the earth,
and all that is between them, in six
Days, and naught of weariness touched
Us.”
51:56-58 “And I created the jinn and
mankind none else except to worship Me.
I seek no livelihood from them, nor I
seek from them to feed Me. For Allah is
The Provider, Lord of strength, the
Almighty.”
55:1-3 “The Merciful taught the Quran
and created man.”
56:57- 58 “We
created you. Will you then admit the
truth? Have you seen the semen you
ejaculate? Do you create it or We are
the Creator of it? We have ordained
death among you and We are not to be
stopped if we desire to replace you with
people like you and regenerate you in
forms which you do not know. And verily
you know about the first generation.
Why, then, do you not reflect?”
57:1-6 “All that
is in the skies and the earth glorifies
Allah; and He is the Invincible, the
Wise. To Him belongs the dominion of
the skies and the earth. He quickens
and deadens; and He is Able to do all
things. He is the First and the Last,
and the Evident and the Inward; and He
is Knower of all things. He it is who
created the skies and the earth in six
Days; then He rose over the Throne. He
knows all that enters the earth and all
that emerges therefrom and all that
comes down from the sky and all that
ascends therein; and He accompanies you
wheresoever you may be. And Allah is
Seer of what you do. To Him belongs the
dominion of the skies and the earth.
All affairs return to Allah. He merges
the night into the day, and He merges
the day into the night; and He is
All-Knowing of the secrets of (all)
hearts.”
58:7 “Do you not see that Allah knows
whatever is in the skies and whatever is
in the earth? There is no secret
conference of three but He is their
fourth, nor of five but He is their
sixth, nor of less than that or more but
He accompanies them wheresoever they may
be; and afterward, on the Day of
Standing, He will inform them of what
they did. Indeed, Allah knows
everything about everything.”
59:22-24 “He is
Allah other than whom there is no real
god. He is the Knower of the unseen and
the seen. He is the Merciful, the
Mercy-Giver. He is Allah, other than
whom there is no real god. He is the
King, the Holy, the Peace, the Faithful,
the Guardian, the Invincible, the
Compeller, the Superior. Glorified be
Allah from all that they ascribe as
partners (unto Him). He is Allah, the
Creator, the Maker, the Image-Giver.
His are the most beautiful names. All
that is in the skies and the earth
glorifies Him, and He is the Invincible,
the Wise.”
61:1 “All that is
in the skies and all that is in the
earth glorifies Allah, and He is the
Invincible, the Wise.”
62:2 “All that is
in the skies and all that is in the
earth glorifies Allah, the King, the
Holy, the Invincible, the Wise.”
63:11 “Allah will
not delay the death of a person when the
time comes, and Allah is Expert of what
you do.”
64:1-4 “All that is in the skies and all
that is in the earth glorify Allah; the
dominion is His and so is the praise and
He is Able to do all things. It is He
who has created you; yet of you are some
who are unbelievers, and some who are
believers. And Allah is Seer of what
you do. He created the skies and the
earth in the truth, and shaped you and
made your shapes well, and unto Him is
the final destination. He knows what is
in the skies and on earth; and He knows
what you conceal and what you reveal.
Allah is All-Knowing of what is in your
chests (hearts).”
64:11 “No calamity
strikes except by Allah’s leave.
Whoever puts his faith in Allah, He
guides his heart. Allah is All-Knowing
about everything.”
64:13 “Allah,
there is no real god but Him; and upon
Allah let the believers rely.”
65:2-3 “… And whosoever keeps his duty
to Allah, Allah will avail an exit for
him, and will provide for him from (a
source) whence he has no expectation.
And whosoever puts his trust in Allah,
He will suffice him. Indeed, Allah
brings His command to pass. Allah has
set a measure for all things.”
65:4-5 “… And
whosoever keeps his duty to Allah, He
will replace his affair with ease. That
is the command of Allah which He sent
down unto you. And whoever keeps his
duty to Allah, He will remit from him
his evil deeds and magnify his reward.”
67:1-5 “Blessed be
He in whose hand is the dominion; and,
He is Able to do all things. Who has
created life and death that He may try
you which of you are best in conduct;
and He is the Invincible, the Forgiving,
who created seven skies precisely
stacked over one another. You will see
in the creatures of the Merciful any
discrepancy. Look again; do you see any
rifts (in the skies)? Then look again
twice, your sight will return to you
weakened and made dim. And verily We
have beautified the lowest sky with
lamps, and We have made them missiles
for the devils, and for them We have
prepared the torment of the blazing
flame.”
67:14-15 “Does not He know those whom He
created while He is the Amicable, the
Expert? It is He Who has made the earth
manageable for you, so walk in the paths
thereof and eat of His provision. And
unto Him is the resurrection.”
67:23-24 “Say it
is He who generated you and make for you
hearing, vision and hearts; little
thanks you give. Say: He it is who
multiplied you in the earth and to Him
you shall be gathered.”
71:15-20 “Do you
not see how Allah has created the seven
skies precisely stacked over one
another, and has made the moon a light
therein, and made the sun a lamp? And
Allah has produced you from the earth as
a growth, and afterward He will return
you to it, and then He will bring you
forth out of it again. And Allah has
made the earth a wide expanse for you
that you may go about therein, in
spacious roads.”
85:12-16 “Indeed,
the assault of your Lord is severe.
Surely He it is who initiates and
repeats. And He is the Forgiving, the
Loving, the Splendid owner of the
Thrown, the one who does what He wants.”
87:1-5 “Glorify
the name of your Lord, the Most High.
Who creates, then makes complete. And
who destined and then guided. Who
brings out the pasture, then turns it to
russet stubble.”
92:12-16 “Indeed
We take upon Ourselves to guide, and the
latter life and the first life are Ours.
Therefore do I warn you of a Fire
blazing fiercely. None will enter it
except the most wretched one, who denies
and turns away.”
95:4-6 “Indeed, We
created man in the best stature. Then
We abased him to the lowest of the low.
Except those who believe and do good
deeds theirs is an uninterrupted reward.
So who henceforth will give the lie to
you about the judgment? Is not Allah
the wisest of judges?”
112:1-4 “Say: He
is Allah, the Unique. He is Allah, the
Besought-After. He neither begets, nor
was He begotten. And there is none
equal to Him.”
113:1 “Say: I
seek refuge in the Lord of the
daybreak.”
114:1-3 “Say: I
seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the
King of mankind, the God of mankind.”
